From this podcast, some interesting things Mr. Moshi has said about Moshi Monsters:

-Still trying to crack US market, feels it’s in “early stages” but confident they can do it.

-When asked about the Moshi Monsters film, he said “ive always wanted to get into the film industry so this has been a labor of love,” and  “should be coming out before the holidays, the Christmas period, this year.”

-Working on releasing big things for mobile apps by quarter 3 this year. Not sure if Moshi Monsters related, but most likely is. He feels the audience is shifting to mobile games.

-Still plans on keeping the Moshi Monsters brand fresh for years to come.

-“We’re very excited about the idea of building a kids’ Youtube.” He said about Moshi TV, but stated it didn’t do as well right away as they hoped. He mentioned they are still planning to do more of their cartoons and music videos, and feels it’s an important thing they need to do for the brand’s longevity.

Moshi Monsters: The Great Moshling Egg: Movie Tie-in: Amazon.co.uk: Books

Amazon has released information about an upcoming movie tie-in book for Moshi Monsters! “The Great Moshling Egg” gives us a hint at what the movie might be about, or what the subtitle could be. Strangeglove is confirmed for the villain (as you would expect) now, and the book will be coming out in October. This gives us a good idea when we might be seeing the movie!! Get hype!

Hey guys! The next mission (Choc-O-Dile Blues) has started up, and something else looks new, too. There’s a new button in your monster’s room now, where the “my news” button used to be…

…It opens up a missions menu! With links to all the past seasons too!

I guess they’ve considered “Season 3” to have already started! But they’re not including the “filler” missions (like Somewhere Clover the Rainbow, or Lost in Hong Bong) in it. The only one they’re considering to be part of Season 3 as well is “The Unusual Suspects,” which was the 3-part Poppet mission that came out a bit ago.

I just played this latest mission, and it seems to be like the missions we got in Season 2, except its split up into 3 parts again. Looks like you can get an Epic in each part, as well. I’m going to miss when the missions were just all one part, but it’s kind of cool that we don’t have to wait an entire month to play the mission in full! So you can play it bits at a time if you want. I wonder if they’re going to start doing mission trailers again?

Ever get a note like this on Moshi Monsters, where a user adds “v(a number)” to the end of the post? It’s a super common trend among Moshi Monsters players to put down their visitor number when they visit your page to post on your pinboard.

It looks like the Moshi staff noticed this, too! There’s now a new feature that lets you check a box to add your visitor number to the bottom of the post! So now players don’t have to type it in manually. How cool is that? It’s nice to see them noticing the trends amongst players, and improving the site around it. : )

The Moshling Zoo has some new categories in it, take a look! Also, notice how the names are in golden buttons now? That means you can click on them and see the fact files about the Moshlings! No longer will you ONLY be able to see their facts upon getting it in your garden.

Also: The garden and Zoo door have changed as well. The Zoo door now has a little “!” that shows up when one or more of your Moshlings are dirty, and the the garden has a really handy counter to show you how many hours you have left until all of your flowers are grown! Very nice.
